Architectural Graduate/Project Architect

We are seeking a talented and organized Architectural Graduate/Project Architect to work with us in our collaborative studio environment in Pittsburgh, PA. Over the past 20+ years, Margittai Architects has provided a personal approach to helping our clients by designing spaces and places where they can enjoy spending their time – whether at home, at work, or at play. Current projects include a 10,000-sf conversion of an early 20th-century dairy barn into a civil engineering headquarters, a full residential renovation and addition – including an indoor pool, and a prototype fast-casual Neapolitan pizza restaurant concept to be introduced into the US market. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, including hand drafting and freehand drawing.
  • Intermediate skills and experience in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the profession.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience.
  • AXP enrollment.
  • Organizational ability to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with Architects and design team members.
  • Participating in design meetings with clients and external design team members.
  • Coordinating and communicating with engineers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Preparing meeting minutes, emails, and other forms of written communication.
  • Measuring existing field conditions and preparation of Existing Conditions drawings.
  • Drafting and 3D modeling of design.
  • Researching and coordinating zoning and building permit information.
  • Preparing and assembling marketing material, such as qualifications or proposal packages.
