What We DoWhat we've done

2110 Sarah Street

Purchased and completely renovated in 2006, this 20 foot wide by 120 foot long structure was nested between Victorian Era homes in the dense residential South Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh. With a two-story front, a two-story rear, and a multi-level one-story portion in between, Peter Margittai says, “It’s the type of building only an Architect would love.”
By focusing on an extremely efficient layout and strategically introducing natural and artificial light, Margittai transformed this utilitarian structure into the studio offices for Margittai Architects. The spaces created provide a combination of openness and privacy that helps support the firm’s creative and collaborative culture.
